The Cultural Arts Office dedicates itself in promoting a well-balanced non formal education of culture and the arts to the Lasallian community. Through its self-organized programs and activities, the awareness and appreciation of different art forms are being promoted. It ensures that its self-organized productions are of good quality and are relevant to the community.
The office also cultivates the innate talents of artistically inclined Lasallian students through its different cultural organizations representing dance, music, theatre, film and broadcast arts. The skills of aspiring artists in these fields are refined through relevant workshops, seminars, symposia as well as competitions and awards. The CAO consists of the Green Media Group (production staff) and the Student Artist Managers (administrative staff) and eight performing groups: the DLSU Chorale, DLSU Chamber Ensemble, De La Salle Innersoul, DLSU Pops Orchestra, La Salle Dance Company – Jazz, La Salle Dance Company-Street, La Salle Dance Company-Folk, and the Harlequin Theatre Guild. They are trained not only to be excellent performers but excellent managers as well. These groups also hold outreach programs to promote culture and the arts in the grassroots level through workshops and performances.

The De La Salle University -Manila Cultural Arts Office is the leading school-based unit in the Philippines for non-formal culture and arts education. We are catalysts in the development of culture and arts primarily inspired by the tradition of CULTURA, and guided by the Lasallian Spirit of FAITH, ZEAL FOR SERVICE and COMMUNION IN MISSION. We deliver a spiritually enriching culture and arts learning based on MULTICULTURALISM, that will help the nation to achieve CULTURAL APPRECIATION and INDEPENDENCE.
Mission
The De La Salle University-Manila Cultural Arts Office (DLSU-M CAO) dedicates itself to high quality experiential programs and services that advocate culture and art as a vital component in the individual’s social and spiritual formation. Through creative and high impact programs and events, proficient workforce, established relations with cultural arts-related organizations and stakeholders, technologically advanced equipment and facilities, DLSU-M CAO is an instrument in achieving appreciation of culture and arts, and cultural independence among Lasallians and the entire nation.

The Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program seeks to assist the University in achieving its vision of extending its educational facilities to Filipino students who are deserving of financial aid, consistent with its mission.
Application Procedure:
The graduate student gets a Financial Assistance Application Form from the SFA Office.
He/She fills in the application form properly and submits it to the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office within the specified application period together with the following:
• a photocopy of the applicant’s or of his/her parents’ (if applicant does not have an income) latest Income Tax Return form;
• a letter of request by the applicant for financial assistance; and
• a sealed letter of recommendation for financial assistance from the applicant’s present employer/ superior.
• He/She checks the status of the application for financial assistance at the SFA Office before the confirmation period (for new students) / on course card distribution day (for old students).
Selection Criteria
• The student must be admitted to the program. Priority of the college is considered.
• Financial need based on income tax returns and recommendation of present employer/superior.
• Good character, demonstrated qualities of leadership and positive attitudes in keeping with the Mission Statement of the University.
• Eligibility/Retention Policies
• Enrollment in 6 units per term under a program on a continuing basis.
• Maintenance of a trimestral average of “2.5″ (for MA/MS program grantees) or “3.0″ (for doctoral program grantees).
• Compliance with the guidelines set by the SFA Committee (a copy of the Guidelines for Graduate SFA Grantees may be obtained from the SFA Office).
Requirements
• These forms will help the Scholarship and Financial Assistance (SFA) Committee evaluate your need for financial assistance while studying at De La Salle University. It is very important that you complete them honestly and accurately.
• There are two (2) forms. These are the Personal and Educational Background Form (pdf/586kb) and the Recommendation for Financial Assistance Form (pdf/548kb).
• The following documents must be submitted together with these forms:
• A photocopy of your parents’ Income Tax Return documents for the previous year
• A letter of request for financial assistance from the applicant, addressed to the SFA Committee, stating the following: reason(s) for applying for financial assistance, reason(s) for choosing De La Salle University-Manila, other circumstances which the applicant believes to have a bearing on the application for financial assistance
All documents and data that you will provide shall be held in strict confidence and will be used solely for evaluation purposes.
Your application for financial assistance will not be processed unless all the required information and documents have been provided.

The AMA Education System Student Loan Program, in cooperation with AMA Bank, is financing an arrangement whereby parents of qualified AMA students can cumulatively draw up to a maximum of ninety percent of the school fees from a loan facility for every school period until the student graduates.
An applicant must be a parent or legal guardian of a qualified, regular student of any AMA Education System school.
Maximum Loanable Amount
An applicant, subject to the schedule of loan availed and depending on the course of study, can draw up to a cumulative amount as follows:
Engineering Courses – PhP300,000
Non-Engineering Courses – PhP250,000
Depending on the student’s year level, the maximum term of payment is a total of ten (10) years from the time of the first loan availment.
The loan payment shall be made through postdated checks and renewable every school period while still on study and every year after graduation.
In case the student-grantee stops for any reason, the portion of the loan (inclusive of interest) until his last day of attendance shall be immediately due and demandable.
Any loan grantee who drops out or defer his study at any AMA school branch shall pay all his outstanding loan balance plus all accrued interest from the date of drop-out or deferment.
